Keep your newsletter list in step with your CRM
When the CRM and email tool hold different lists, people get emails they unsubscribed from or miss ones they asked for. Syncing keeps one source of truth.

What happens
When
A contact is added to, or leaves, a HubSpot list you choose.
Then
- They're added to, or removed from, your Mailchimp audience.
- Their details stay matched in both tools.
How the tools connect
With a built-in integration. HubSpot CRM lists Mailchimp as an integration on its website.
Set it up
Connect Mailchimp from HubSpot's app marketplace.
Pick which HubSpot list feeds which Mailchimp audience. Only sync people who agreed to marketing email.
Add a test contact and check that it appears in Mailchimp.
Menus change, so these steps say what to do rather than where to click. Each company's help pages have the current screens.
Watch out for
- Consent comes first: only sync contacts who agreed to receive marketing email.
- Decide which tool wins when the same field is edited in both.

Email customers based on what they bought
Sending everyone the same email wastes your best customers' attention. With purchase data in the email tool, you can send follow-ups, restock news and thank-yous to the right people.

Log every booked meeting in your CRM
Sales calls booked through a scheduling link often never reach the CRM, so follow-ups are missed and reports undercount meetings. Connecting the two records each booking on the right contact without anyone typing it in.

Give sales a view of how customers use the product
Sales and success teams work better when they know who is active, who is stuck and who has stopped. Sending usage groups to the CRM puts that on each contact.
