Save email attachments to shared storage automatically
Invoices and documents that arrive by email get lost in personal inboxes. Saving attachments to a shared folder automatically keeps them where the team can find them.

What happens
When
An email with an attachment arrives, for example from a supplier or to an invoices address.
Then
- The attachment is saved to a SharePoint folder.
- The file name includes the date and sender, so it's easy to find.
How the tools connect
With a built-in integration. Power Automate lists Gmail as an integration on its website.
Set it up
In Power Automate, start a cloud flow from the Gmail "new email" trigger, filtered to emails with attachments.
Add a SharePoint step that creates a file in your chosen folder.
Send yourself a test email with an attachment.
Menus change, so these steps say what to do rather than where to click. Each company's help pages have the current screens.
Watch out for
- Filter by sender or subject so personal attachments don't end up in a shared folder.

Turn a won deal into an invoice
Re-typing client details and amounts from the CRM into accounting software is slow and causes mistakes. Creating the invoice from the deal keeps names, amounts and products the same in both places.

Bring card payments into your accounts
Matching card payouts to sales by hand is one of the most tedious bookkeeping jobs. Connecting your payment provider brings in transactions and fees so reconciliation is mostly matching, not typing.

Send online shop sales to your accounting software
Shops with many small orders can't enter sales one by one. Syncing them gives you up-to-date revenue and sales tax figures.
