Run your team in Notion: wiki and projects / Lesson 1 of 3

Build your team wiki

A wiki page with sections for your team's key documents.

About 15 minutes

Video from Notion's team wiki guide. By Notion (official), played from YouTube.

Step by step

  1. Create the wiki page

In the sidebar, click + next to Workspace so the whole team can see it, and call it something like "Team wiki".

  2. Add a page per key document

Type /page and press Enter for each one: goals, team directory, how we work, tools and logins policy. Or type several titles on separate lines, select them and use Turn into > Page.

  3. Organise with headings

Type /heading to add section labels such as "Team", "Processes" and "Projects", then drag pages under them. Drag a ⋮⋮ handle to the side to make columns, and type --- for a divider.

  4. Turn it into a wiki

Click ••• at the top of the page, open More and choose "Turn into wiki". You need full access to the page, and databases cannot be turned into wikis.

  5. Embed what you already use

Paste links to Figma files, Loom videos, PDFs or forms to embed them, so people find everything in one place.
