About 15 minutes

Video from Notion's "Create a database" help page. By Notion (official), played from YouTube.

Step by step

  1. Create the database

Make a new page and, under "Get started with", choose ••• then Table. To put it inside your wiki instead, type /database on the wiki page.

  2. Add your first projects

Click New page for each project. Each row is a page, so you can write the project brief inside it.

  3. Add properties

Click Add property, name it Priority and add options P1, P2 and P3. Click + to the right of a column to add Due date with the Date type, and add an Owner using the Person type.

  4. Add a board view

Click + next to the database name and choose Board. Projects show as cards grouped by status; drag a card to move it along.

  5. Make views for each person

Add filters and sorts to create views such as "My projects" or "Due this week".
