Never miss a website lead / Lesson 1 of 4

Build a contact form with Tally

A published form that asks for name, email, phone and what the person needs.

About 10 minutes

Step by step

  1. Start a new form

Create a free Tally account and start a new form. The editor works like a text document: type on the page to add a title and a short introduction, such as "Tell us about your project".

  2. Add your questions

Click the + button, or type / to insert a question block. Add a short answer for the name, an email question, a phone question and a long answer for "How can we help?". Keep it to what you need to reply.

  3. Make the key fields required

Hover over a question and click the ⋮⋮ handle on its left to open its settings. Mark the name and email as required so every lead can be contacted.

  4. Add a thank-you page

Type /thank to add a custom page people see after submitting. Tell them when you will reply, for example "We reply within one working day."

  5. Style and publish

Change colours, fonts or add your logo under customisation, then publish the form.

Good to know

  • Name the email question clearly ("Email"). You will match it to HubSpot's Email field in lesson 3.
